Joseph Thiongo is a Kenyan born at Uthiru on the outskirts of Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. He is 36 years old, married, with 2 children. He was encouraged to sketch and paint at secondary school, which inspired him to take up painting seriously. He is a self-taught artist. The details in his paintings have earned him much praise and recognition.
