Biography

Shirley was born in rural Ontario and presently resides in Toronto where she combines home and studio. She is proficient in several media including cast paper sculpture, oil, pastel and watercolour. Her love of animals pulls her towards painting personalized pet portraits as well as portraits of adults and children.
Shirley studied with well-known artists in Toronto. However much has been learned through her own experiences. She has enjoyed sharing her knowledge teaching adults and children in her studio.
In her 25 years of being an artist, Shirley has exhibited in many groups and solo shows in Ontario. Her paintings hang in corporate and private Collections throughout Canada, United States and South America.
